Here you will find information – and views – about my writing, particularly  my biography of Alan Clark and the one volume edition of Alan Clark’s Diaries, which I have edited.  Here, too, is news of the National Academy of Writing (where I  succeeded Melvyn Bragg as President),  the Man Booker Prizes (I am literary director), my general editorial work for authors and publishers, and my contribution as a special (visiting) professor at the University of Nottingham, and the award given by the Political Studies Association for my work done there with Professor Alex Danchev
